Mufti Mohammed Siddiq Mohiuddin , originally from Milwaukee, WI, began his Islamic studies by memorizing the Quran under Qari Noman. He moved to Dallas, TX, to study at Masjid Yaseen, then continued at DarusSalam Seminary in Lombard, IL, where he graduated with honors in 2022 and received an ijāza in al-Qirāʾāt al-ʾAshara. Seeking further knowledge, he pursued studies in fiqh at Darul Iftaa Chicago, completing his iftāʾ under Mufti Abrar Mirza, with his dissertation currently being published.

Mufti Siddiq also served as a part-time visiting scholar at ISNS, where he now works as a full-time Imam. He is dedicated to community service, delivering impactful lectures and promoting spiritual growth and knowledge.

Sh. Moustafa Ismail is a quran teacher with over 20 years experience of teaching Quran and leading prayers. He holds Ijazah in the rendition of Shu’bah and Hafs. He led Taraweeh in Mecca Center for over 10 years. He enjoys helping people learn Quran and understand it

Mawlana Qari Muhammad Hamid, raised in Lombard, IL, memorized the Quran at Uthman Academy by age 13 and continued his studies at DarusSalam Seminary, IIE, and Darul Uloom Azaadville in South Africa. He received multiple Ijāzāt in the Ten Qirā’āt, notably from Shaykh Misbah Ibrahim of Egypt. Beyond academics, he serves as an Imām and educator, focusing on preserving and transmitting the tradition of Quranic recitation and Islamic scholarship to future generations.

Hafiz Feroze Khan is an employment law attorney, HR leader, and consultant. He memorized the Qur’an at age 14 and has led Taraweeh prayers every year since. He lived in Turkey for three years, learning about Muslim culture, and has taught Qur’an for over six years in the Chicago area. Feroze has officiated over 30 nikah ceremonies and values his connection with the ISNS community, where he continues to experience Taraweeh prayers.

Hadith on Fasting: Help break fast, earn same reward:

Zayd ibn Khalid reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever helps break the fast of a fasting person, he will have the same reward as him without decreasing anything from the reward of the fasting person.”

Here is a quick snapshot of the work progress. The schedule is really tight. Please make Dua everything goes well with the construction work and we get the Temporary occupancy for Ramadan from the city.

This project was kicked off with the support of a few big donors outside the community and we expect the majority of the fundraising for this project will come from the community during Ramadan, if not earlier, In Sha Allah.

Eid Salah

Eid al-Fitr is expected to be celebrated on either Sunday, March 30, or Monday, March 31, depending on the sighting of the moon. This day signifies the end of fasting and serves as a time for reflection, gratitude, and community bonding.

Narrated by Anas bin Malik: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

“Allah has given you better than those feasts (festivals of non-believers): the Eid-ul-Adha and Eid-ul-Fitr.”

FIDYAH/KAFFARAH
