Hifz Track

Welcome to the After-School Maktab – Hifz Track at ISNS, where we are dedicated to providing a solid foundation for your kids on their Quranic journey. Our part-time ḥifẓ program is designed to enable our students to recite with Tajweed and facilitate their Memorization. In addition, the children will form life-long bonds of friendship with like-minded peers and mentorship with our qualified teaching staff.

Focus:

• Tajwīd and Fluency: The program begins with mastering the pronunciation of the Arabic alphabet (proper Makharij), followed by building a thorough understanding of the rules of tajwīd, with the ultimate goal of cultivating proficient reading skills. These foundational skills serve as a solid preparation for students as they progress in their ḥifẓ, where they will engage in Quran memorization.
• Ḥifẓ: This part of the program focuses on Quran memorization. We train the child in building the discipline required to memorize the Quran. New memorization is cemented by frequent revision to ensure that the child retains their memorization as they memorize more.

The pre-requisite for this track is that the child must be proficient in reading the Quran, with room for minor improvements on tajwīd. Those who cannot read the Quran initially will begin their journey by enrolling in the Quranic Arabic Program. This foundational program aims to assist them in making a smooth transition into the Hifz Program, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in Quran memorization. This track will also cover fundamental aspects of ʿaqīda (beliefs), navigating modern ideas as a Muslim, fiqh (jurisprudence), sīra (Prophet’s life), and Islamic history, and provides a strong focus on Islamic morals and manners.

Our children are our biggest investment, and their long-term success requires special attention to equipping them with the foundational knowledge required to lead a life as a successful Muslim. Therefore, our experienced teachers provide a supportive environment that encourages both academic and spiritual growth, helping students build a strong foundation in their faith and practice. It is an essential addition to the array of programs the masjid offers.
